Before becoming the mysterious (and gorgeous) Don Draper on Mad Men, Jon Hamm was on The Big Date with some fabulous hair and plans for an evening of “total fabulosity”.

Aaron Paul may be riding out his Breaking Bad high, but back in the day he played a comic shop owner with a really terrible haircut in the first season of Bones, bitch.

Thanks, mllejeune!

Amy Adams is the main attraction now (American Hustle, Man of Steel, The Muppets, etc.) but she was in a supporting role as a high school beauty pageant contestant in her first movie, Drop Dead Gorgeous, starring Ellen Barkin, Kirstie Alley, Denise Richards & Kirsten Dunst, back in 1999.

Thanks, Kate C!

If you ever feel despondent about your future, just think of this:
He may be a star on SNL now, but this was Taran Killam 10 years ago.

↳The DCOM Stuck in the Suburbs (2004) turns 10 this year

I thought this was an SNL skit

Oh this is a great one — Melissa Ponzio plays Melissa McCall aka Scott’s mom on Teen Wolf (and she was Karen on The Walking Dead). But back in 2011, she appeared as a host on WebMD’s Ask the Dermatologist.

Thanks, adustus!

Here’s Sylvester Stallone in one of his earliest roles — a 1971 Woody Allen movie called Bananas. Sly played a thug on the subway who Woody Allen’s character throws off the train for taunting passengers with his friend. Of course, this being a Woody Allen movie, the doors open again letting the thugs back inside, and Woody has to run away along the train.

Thanks, barrypierce!

Oh this is adorableMatt Bomer, best known for playing suave conman Neal Caffrey on White Collar and for being criminally underused in Magic Mike, once modeled for the cover of a book about gay youth called Rainbow Boys by Alex Sanchez. BRB, heading to Amazon and ordering this immediately…

Thanks, thebigbeautiful!

Before he wormed his way into all of our hearts as Nick Miller on New Girl, Jake Johnson rocked a horrible mustache as the Jazz Man in Get Him to the Greek. Seriously, I can’t underscore enough how glad I am he shaved the ‘stache. Yikes.

Thanks, isawisay!

Turned on the TV to find Larry offering Lacey Chabert sleeping pills on Lifetime.

If you don’t recognize this girl right away, try imagining her with a flannel overshirt and a pair of glasses — figure it out yet? She’s Ariel Winter, best known as Alex Dunphy on Modern Family, but here she is as a pageant girl in an episode of Bones

My favorite earlier role of hers will always be this one, though. Classic.

Thanks, momcantmakethis!

You can see Nasim Pedrad being hilarious on Saturday Night Live every week, but one of her first acting credits was as a waitress in a season 6 episode of Gilmore Girls.

Thanks, wabajisik!
