It’s almost impossible to recognize The O.C.’s Samaire Armstrong (she was Anna!) in an episode of Freaks and Geeks but her annoying voice was all we needed to be completely sure it was her. #TeamSummer!

If you watched the pilot episode of Girls, you a) probably have a strong opinion about it that you have shared on the internet and b) you maybe have been pleasantly surprised to see that Hannah’s mother is played by none other than Becky Ann Baker, better known as the matriarch of the Weir family on Freaks and Geeks. Judd Apatow really takes care of his friends!
Thanks, Lauren!

You may recognize Riley Smith from Radio, 24, Joan of Arcadia,or as the amazing Dean Talon in the Disney Channel Original Movie Motocrossed (his best role, obviously) but he and his fantastic hair were also Cindy’s “obsession”, and boyfriend, as Todd Schellinger in Freaks and Geeks.
Awesomely amazing find from Hannah’s awesomely amazing roommate, Kate!

Linda Cardellini (Lindsay Weir from Freaks and Geeks) was in a season two episode of 3rd Rock from the Sun. It’s pretty cool that she had the same hair style as Joesph Gordon-Levitt.
Nice find, onaslownight!

Wow Natasha Melnick sure grew up since her days as Cindy Sanders in Freaks and Geeks. Here she is as a sorority girl in another Judd Apatow project, the short-lived venture, Undeclared.

After his appearance on How I Met Your Mother, Martin Starr of Freaks and Geeks and Party Down appeared on The League as “Box of Frogs”, where he made a job offer to Pete, which he subsequently retracted.
Another great one, iamkuhan!

After Samm Levine played the hilarious geek Neal Schweiber in Freaks and Geeks, he played a “psychic freak” named Marvin in an episode of That’s So Raven.
Bet he (or Raven) didn’t see that one coming!
Great submission, youdrivemeboonanas!

Freaks and Geeks’s Samm Levine can be seen in an episode of How I Met Your Mother standing outside a club trying to get Robin to help him get inside!
Fun Fact: Glee’s Jayma Mays was in the same episode!

One of Linda Cardellini’s (Freaks and Geeks, ER, Scooby Doo) earliest roles was this messy bit in an episode of SNICK classic, Kenan and Kel. According to IMDB she was also in Kenan and Kel’s hit movie Good Burger, but we can’t find any screencaps of that, so if you have one, send it in!
Ben Stiller is known for his numerous film roles (Zoolander, Meet the Parents, Night at the Museum, etc). But when Freaks and Geeks looked like it was going to get cancelled, Stiller’s friend (and producer of Freaks and Geeks) Judd Apatow brought him in to play a secret service agent in an attempt to boost ratings. Unfortunately for everyone, however, the show was cancelled before his episode had even aired.
Thanks to everyone who submitted this one, and thanks to averyryan for the screencap!
Matt Czurchy is known for his role as Logan Huntzberger in Gilmore Girls and more recently as Cory Agos in The Good Wife and Tucker Max in the movie version of I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell but his first role was on Freaks & Geeks as “Teenage Guy #1”, a kid from a rival high school, Lincoln High, who beat up some of the freaks.
Thanks for the submission, broadwaybabyx827!
We’ve all seen Alexander Gould grow up on the hit show Weeds as Shane Botwin and we’ve seen him on shows such as Supernatural and Freaks and Geeks but this role may have been harder to recognize him in. That’s right, underneath the orange and white stripes of the lovable Nemo in Pixar’s Finding Nemo was Alexander Gould’s voice.
