Adam Scott’s appearance on Boy Meets World as bully Griff Hawkins is fairly well known…it was even one of the first posts on this blog. HOWEVER, before he was introduced as Griff, he appeared with long hair as “Senior” in a season 2 episode titled “Band on the Run” where he talked to Cory briefly.
Eden Sher is probably best known as the super enthusiastic, but incredibly geeky Sue Heck on The Middle, but she also appeared in the first episode of Party Down as the party host’s daughter who tries to hook up with Kyle.
At the end of the second season of Gossip Girl, while Serena was sitting in jail and then enjoying prom (just like a normal teenager!), her mother Lily had a series of minor celebrity-filled flashbacks to her days as a runaway teenager in LA in the mid 80’s. Lily was played by none other than Brittany Snow from Hairspray and American Dreams, Lily’s mother was played by Cynthia Watros from LOST, her sister was played by Krysten Ritter from Breaking Bad, and her sister’s boyfriend was played by the very nicely dressed Ryan Hansen, who most of you know from Party Down or this fire safety video from That’s So Raven.
“Your hair looks like a briar patch. I keep expecting racist, animated Disney characters to pop up and start singing about living on the bayou.” — Sue Sylvester, Glee
We’re sure Sue Sylvester would have LOTS to say about Jane Lynch’s stylish ‘do from her role in The Fugitive (1993), which also starred Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones.
After his appearance on How I Met Your Mother, Martin Starr of Freaks and Geeks and Party Down appeared on The League as “Box of Frogs”, where he made a job offer to Pete, which he subsequently retracted.
It is so hard to see such an adorable face looking like this! It’s Adam Scott from Parks and Recreation, Party Down and Step Brothers in Hellraiser: Bloodline back in 1996.
Lizzy Caplan, of Party Down and Mean Girls fame, drank V from a vampire prisoner as Amy Burley, Jason Stackhouse’s girlfriend, in the first season of True Blood.
Before Michael C. Hall was serial killer Dexter Morgan (Dexter) he was funeral director David Fisher, one of the best gay characters on TV,and before Adam Scott was Ben Wyatt (Parks and Recreation) he was Ben Cooper, David’s love interest in two episodes of Six Feet Under.
All you really need to know, however, is that these two made out. Yay!
In honor of Party Down Day, here’s Ryan Hansen (Party Down’s Kyle Bradway) singing “Be Prepared”, a song about safety precautions, as one of the “Boyz in Motion” from an episode of Disney Channel favorite, That’s So Raven. It’s no “You Stained Me”, but we have to admit it is catchy.
Most people know Lizzy Caplan from mainstream hitMean Girls and cult classic Party Down, but in the early 00’s she appeared in four episodes of Freaks and Geeksas Nick’s (Jason Segel) disco-loving girlfriend Sara.
Jimmi Simpson is “that guy”…you know “that guy”…the one from that show…who you always recognize but whose name you can never remember? He’s probably best known for his multiple appearances as Liam McPoyle on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but in 2010 he channeled Marilyn Manson as Jackal Onassis, a hard rocker who took over bar-tending duties for Henry in an episode of Party Down.
Martin Starr is best known for his roles in Freaks and Geeks, Party Down, and Knocked Up, but back in season 1 of How I Met Your Mother, he went on a date with Robin only to get ditched when she had to leave because Marshall stabbed Lily with a sword while fighting Ted for their apartment. No,really.
Best known as Janis Ian in Mean Girls or as Casey Klein in Party Down, Lizzy Caplan was recently spotted on Mr. Sunshine as Vivian, a girl in a no-strings-attached relationship with Matthew Perry’s character Ben.
It’s a double whammy! These are just two of the many, many stars who have the privilege of listing Veronica Mars on their resumes. First, it’s Adam Scott (previously seen on Boy Meets World), star of the canceled-way-too-soon Party Down and current new addition to the hilarious ensemble on NBC’s Parks and Rec. And second, check out Gossip Girl’s Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) sitting in a *gasp* public school classroom!
We already had this video in our drafts, but thanks to november-ludgate for reminding us to post it!
